22. Get Your ‘Retail Therapy’ at the Round Rock Outlet Mall!
To be honest, I don’t really enjoy shopping. Most of the time I try to avoid it altogether and just use Amazon. But, there are some things you just need to try on in person before you buy them…most shoes, jeans, bathing suits, etc. Lucky for me, I live about 5 minutes away from the best outlet mall around…the Round Rock Premium Outlets!
Normally, I get exhausted just thinking about outlet mall shopping. I do not have the patience for digging through racks of random clothes to try and find what I’m looking for. Also, the outlet stores I’ve been to in the past have been very blah with zero personality and bad lighting…Yuck! But, the Round Rock Premium Outlet Mall is surprisingly inviting and the stores are well organized and attractive. If you didn’t see the big sign saying ‘Premium Outlets’, you’d probably never know it’s an outlet mall at all!
The mall is conveniently located right off of Route 35 near the border of Round Rock and Georgetown, Tx. It is flanked by Ikea, JCPenney, HEB, Cinemark Round Rock, and lots of smaller stores and restaurants directly to the south.
Since it is an outdoor mall in the heart of Texas, the clever architects have designed the space with plenty of covered and shaded areas so you can stroll along and browse the store windows in comfort…or rest your feet and enjoy a fountain while you sip a cool drink or sample something delicious from a food truck. Yes, there are food trucks at this mall! If you’re not seeing food trucks everywhere you go, you must not be in central Texas!
The mall is pet friendly and is a great place to take your pup out for a stroll. There are big water bowls by several of the food trucks. I got to meet this handsome little guy while he waited for his mama to come out of Anne Taylor. It was love at first sight, of course! ;P
Btw, you’ll need a good purse when you go shopping. Incidentally, this is my exact purse (it’s actually more of a messenger bag). I LOVE these bags and get tons of compliments on them! No, Lug is not paying me to say that. 😉
Plenty of your favorite stores pop up here…like Adidas, Shoe Carnival, Rue 21, Hot Topic, Anne Taylor, Aeropostle, Bath & Body Works, Calvin Klein, Charlotte Russe, Coach, and on and on… I am just sad that there’s no Victoria’s Secret. What’s up with that? :O
Even if you’re not looking for anything in particular, this is a great place to get outdoors and get your steps in while you take in the sights and stay somewhat sheltered from the Texas heat! If you’d rather take a break and grab a treat in the air conditioning, check out the Food Court. They have all the usual yummy offerings and lots of seating.
Round Rock Premium Outlets offers plenty of parking and since it is so close to everything, you can hit the grocery store and do errands…or just go relax at a movie…when you’re all done at the mall. Happy Shopping!
