50 Things To Do in Greater Austin, TX #1 Jack Allen’s Happy Hour

  1. Check Out Happy Hour at Jack Allen’s Kitchen

Jack Allen’s is a casual, yet upscale, eatery just west of Rt. 35 in Round Rock. Like alot of Austin area eateries, it’s a big, hip, pretty place with that warm and friendly Texas vibe…and, of course, a cool outdoor seating area. But the thing that attracts hordes of locals every weeknight is their amazing Happy Hour!

janae-mealFrom 3-7pm Monday through Friday, you can order any of their yummy and generous appetizers for half price! My personal favorite, and my gal pals too, is the Spinach Gorgonzola Ravioli. Creamy, delicious, and oh so filling…this is a Meal, people! Regular price on that is $12 so it’s a great deal at half off! The Barbacoa Stackers are surprisingly served on tortilla rounds…and it works! Regular price on those is $10 and they filled me up quite nicely, thank you.

Happy Hour drinks are a dollar off…my personal recommendation is the Mexican Martini…although the Pomegranate Sangria is hard to pass up! The bar and restaurant are spacious, yet cozy and inviting, and have been packed every time I’ve been there. The lighting is warm and relaxing, the sound is loud but not over the top, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I always leave Jack Allen’s feeling full and happy so…it’s a Win Win!
